The hotel is the proud sponsor of the West of Ireland Amateur Open Golf Championship 2007 which is held annually in the County Sligo Golf Club.
Co. Sligo Golf Club is situated on the Rosses Point peninsula, 6km from Sligo City. A centenarian with all the dignity and maturity of age, this is one of Irelands great championship links. The club was founded in 1894 and the present links was designed by H.S.Colt in 1927. It is widely recognised as one of Colts greatest courses, set amidst the spectacular scenery which has been immortalised in the poetry of W.B. Yeats. The new 9-hole Bomore course was added in 1999 to further enhance the facilities available at Co. Sligo Golf Club. Golfers who discover this exceptional course invariably return to experience its challenge again and again.
